    SAMMC - Wound & Ostomy Continence Nurse, RN.  Medtrust Staffing is currently hiring an experienced RN with Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse Certification (CWOCN/CWS).  FT employment opportunity offering great pay + full benefits at the San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC). 



    • Monday- Friday scheduling, 8 hour shifts. 

    • No Weekends and No Holidays.

    Responsibilities

    Registered Nurse Duties:


    RN will serve as consultant for inpatient nursing care services for neonates to geriatric patient population.  Assessing, treating and managing traumatic and draining wounds, surgical incisions, tubes and fistulas, negative pressure wound therapy, pre/post operative ostomy patients.  Provides patient education and support to patient family and staff on wound prevention, wound care, ostomy care, incontinence and treatment.

    Qualifications

    Registered Nurse Requirements:


    Must have Associate or Baccalaureate degree from an Accredited Nursing Program


    Valid Registered Nursing license from any US jurisdiction


    Basic Life Support certification (BLS) from an American Heart Association Program


    Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse certification (CWOCN)


    *1 year of recent experience applicable in wound care specific position for consideration*
