Recruiting Assistant

This is a highly interactive position that requires the ability to work independently and with a team in a time sensitive environment. This position requires an employee that is organized and capable of juggling multiple projects at one time. This position requires excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.


Assist/support the recruitment team with the various stages of the recruitment process for corporate and field employees. Process job postings and job advertising strategies. Screen and pre-qualify candidates using technical requirements from the contracts or hiring managers for open positions in the corporate office, existing contracts or potential new contracts. Process application paperwork and assist with scheduling interviews. Record and maintain information in various databases, run reports and assist with compliance.

  • Partner with recruiters to understand hiring needs
  • Maintains job postings and advertising for open positions
  • Screen resumes/profiles for qualifications against technical requirements of open positions in corporate office, existing contracts or for potential candidates for future contracts.
  • Performs preliminary phone screen assessments; screens candidates for availability, interest level, salary range, relocation needs, and basic qualifications.
  • Maintains ongoing follow up communication with applicants
  • Maintains complete and accurate data in various databases used in the recruitment process
  • Runs reports to support recruitment processes and compliance
  • Supports sourcing strategies for both passive and active candidates
  • Performs online research for résumé and candidate profiles using job boards, social networking sites, internet research, etc.
  • Effectively documents activity in appropriate database
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations




  • Comfortable with heavy outbound phone calls. Able to convey message and gather details effectively.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize assignments and complete projects within given deadline.
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Office  knowledge (advanced knowledge of MS Excel is preferred)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be organized and able to change task throughout the day
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Strong time management skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
