Mental Health Technician

Responsibilities

Supports mental health services in psychiatry, psychology, social work, family advocacy, substance abuse prevention and rehabilitation, and mental health programs. Assists mental health professional staff with developing and implementing treatment plans. Performs specified mental health treatment. Reports and documents patients care.

Qualifications

  • One year experience within the last 3 years in a similar setting
  • Completion of High School mandatory
  • Knowledge of psychiatry, psychology, social work, family advocacy and nursing principles.
  • Understanding of mental health terminology, psychopathology, substance abuse pathology
  • Experience administering , scoring and reporting psychological test results.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
