    Pharmacist

    We are currently accepting resumes for Pharmacist to provide medical services at the Department of Defense Military Health System (MHS), Keesler AFB, in Biloxi, MS area in anticipation of an upcoming government contract award.

     

    Pharmacists (Outpatient)

    KAFB and the MTF operates on a 24/7 basis.

    Normal duty hours will be between 0630-1830, 5 days per week, up to 40 hours perweek. The work day is comprised of up to 8 work hours and a one-hour non-workinglunch period.

    Responsibilities

    Duties:
    Duty 1: Able to operate pharmacy electronic patient profile computer systems such as ALTHA or CHCS computer systems.
    Duty 2: Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the personnel, supply, and equipment capabilities of the facility.
    Duty 3: Work closely with clinical staff in developing patient wellness programs such as smoking cessation programs and asthma classes.
    Duty 4: Provide medication information and medication therapy guidelines to the clinical staff as required.
    Duty 5: Provide medication and healthcare related in service training to clinical staff on new medications on the market; appropriate use of medications; comparison of current medication therapies; and other topics as deemed appropriate by the department head.
    Duty 6: Provide clinical direction to pharmacy personnel. Ensure pertinent data is appropriate for individual patients. Intervention with providers shall be made for noted discrepancy of above listed items.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
    • Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
    • 1-year experience within the last 3 years
    • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Pharmacist
    • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
