Registered Nurse -  Primary Care Clinic

We are hiring Registered Nurses for the Primary Care Clinic at Ft. Sam Houston at the San Antonio Military Medical Center. 

 

Great schedule, fantastic work/life balance, beautiful location.  Expand your outpatient skills while providing care to our troops!

 

**Must have one year of OUTPATIENT/AMBULATORY experience within the last 3 years OR 2 years of MED/SURG experience in the last 4 years.**

 

Scheduling details:

  • Day shifts
  • Monday - Friday
  • No nights, weekends or on-call requirements
  • Closed Federal Holidays

Responsibilities

RN Duties & Responsibilities:

As a MedTrust employee your duties and responsibilities will be the same as any other registered nurse on the same unit.  

 

Duties can include but not limited to:

  • Rooming, vitals, assessments, lab draws
  • Telephone conferences, referral for services
  • Charting, call backs, insurance approvals

Qualifications

RN Qualifications:

  • Must have Associate or Baccalaureate degree from an accredited nursing program
  • Valid Registered Nursing license from any US jurisdiction

  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) from an American Heart Association Program
  • 1 year experience in an outpatient Primary care setting within the past 3 years OR 2 years of MED/SURG expeirence within the past 4 years.
