    The Telemetry Technicians in the Multi-Service Ward are responsible for rendering highly specialized Cardiovascular, Cardiac, and Post Anesthesia care to the pediatric, adult and geriatric patient populations.  Duties shall be performed in the Multi-Service Ward, which consists of up to 22 telemetry beds, plus is responsible for monitoring telemetry patients from internal medicine, pediatrics, surgical, ENT, Family Practice, and Orthopedics specialties, and monitoring the continuous pulse oximetry of these patients.   The average census for the Multi-Service Ward telemetry monitoring technician is 6-8 and the average number of admissions per month is 120-200. 


    • Certificate.
    • Completion of a cardiovascular technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Professionals or completion of a formal military program that trains
      telemetry technicians.
    • Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine in basic EKG Level IA.
    • Must have one year experience in the medical field providing telemetry services in a physician’s office, clinic, hospital, or similar setting within the preceding 3 years.
