    Responsibilities

    • Perform a full range of Occupational Therapist services in accordance with the scope of clinical privileges granted by the Commanding Officer. 
    •  Coordinates, participates and/or develops child find and public awareness activities for EDIS.
    • Performs initial intake and screens family and child.  Assesses and assists families to identify and clarify their concerns, priorities, resources, goals and strategies to meet the needs of their infant or toddler.  Assists the family to access evaluation appointments and ensures that all components of the evaluation and the families’ concerns are understood by the EDIS team prior to assessment. This may include providing information, making referrals, and assisting families in accessing resources or services and resolving disputes.

    Qualifications

    Master's degree in occupational therapy.

     

    Graduate from a program in occupational therapy accredited at the time of graduation by the
    Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) or predecessor organization, to
    include an internship prescribed by the education institution.


    Certified in occupational therapy through the National Board for Certification in
    Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

     

    Possess a minimum of two years of experience within the last three years as an Occupational Therapist working with outpatient upper extremity orthopedic rehabilitation.
