    Registered Nurse (RN) - Family Practice & Flight Medicine - Columbus Air Force Base, MS

     

    We are accepting resumes from experienced Registered Nurses for a full time position in the Family Practice Clinic at Columbus Air Force Base.

     

    Position details:

    • Full time, 40 hours/week
    • Monday - Friday 730-430 or 8-5
    • No on call requirements

    Responsibilities

    Some duties:

    • Make Patient care assignments
    • Assess patients needs telephonically
    • Knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in us of basic word processing, data entry and automated medical records
    • For the Family Practice RN, they will perform as Dysplasia Program Manager and Pap and Tissue Monitor and will work under the supervision of Medical Management staff for this duty in tracking pap and tissue results, ensuring timely follow up and patient notification. Will also include retrieving results from other military or civilian medical treatment facilities for appropriate follow up care.
    • For the Flight Medicine RN, they will perform as crash cart monitor and will assist Mock Code Blue administrator in ensuring standardization of the code carts in the facility are maintained according to Air Force Medical Service Crash Cart Standardization guidance. Will assist the Mock Code Blue administrator in scheduling/planning, conducting and evaluating mock code blue events.

    Qualifications

    Must have:

    • Current, valid Registered Nurse license from any US jurisdiction
    • Minimum 2 years experience in past 4 years in Primary Care setting
    • Military health care system including TRICARE health benefits 
    • Some knowledge of HIPAA and clinical orientation 
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
