    Responsibilities

     

    Monday through Friday between the hours of 0600 and 1800 (40 hour work week)

    Apply the meaning and spelling of medical terminology required to initiate telephone consults and relay medical information to members of the immediate staff and other services of the facility.

    Apply basic patient safety procedures and process to follow in case of fire, disaster, or cardiopulmonary arrest.

    Use office automation systems such as AHLTA, CHCS, secure messaging system and software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.

    Apply methods to communicate well with people to maintain tact, professionalism, diplomacy, patience, and tolerance at all times in performance of assigned duties.

    Schedule initial and follow-on appointments or referrals for patients before they leave the clinic.

    Assist in meeting all quality assurance reporting requirements.

    Provide services in support of TRICARE beneficiaries

    Qualifications

    • Possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years as a CMA

       

    • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
