    Licensed Practical Nurse - Flight Medicine

     

    Joint Base Langley-Eustis located at Langley Air Force Base, VA at 633d Medical Group, Flight Medicine Clinic 

     

    In anticipation of a future contract award by the Government, MedTrust is accepting resumes from experienced Registered Nurses for full time positions!

     Typical shifts:

     

    Monday through Friday. Eight (8) hours of duty between the hours of 0730-1630

    Responsibilities

    A functional knowledge with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe software. Employee will need to know how to independently manipulate and draft working documents and reports.
    • The use of AHLTA/CHCS, ASIMS, HAIMS
    • Provides individualized patient teaching on appropriate topics to include preventative health-care and health maintenance.

    Qualifications

     

    • Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
    • Experience performing care and treatment of patients; operating and maintaining therapeutic equipment; properly administering oral and parenteral medications; conducting paraprofessional portions of physical examinations; or assisting in medical treatment of patients in accordance with established procedures and protocols with the LPN scope of practice.
    • One year of practical or vocational nurse hands –on patient care in outpatient clinical setting with experience after graduation.
