Overview

We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide Primary and Urgent Care services to the detention adult & juvenile patient population. Outpatient clinic is open Monday thru Friday from 9 to 9. Expectation is to workone 12 hour shift in clinic. You may select the day that best suits your schedule. On-call may be a requirement!

 

Compensation is $82.14 / hour.

Responsibilities

The duties of this role include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Managing participant’s overall care
  • Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, HIV, Seizures, infections, and injuries
  • Prescribing medications and other treatments such as wound care or ectoparasite treatment
  • Educating participants on disease prevention and positive health and lifestyle choices
  • Review of all Health Assessments and determination of further treatment needed if applicable
  • To the extent the County requests, the Advanced Level Practitioner can order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays

Qualifications

  • Wyoming Nurse Practitioner unrestricted license
  • Two years of current experience in a primary or family care, ER or Urgent care setting
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
